This short story will pull you in fast, very touching..
The story gives you a lot of insight as to what’s still going on in Z’s head.. After the birth of their daughter Nalla and Z seeing his Shellan survive thru it, he’s now struggling again with the filth of what the slave bands have left behind on his pure skin.. You see the struggle of what they go thru to finally get “there” as a family. Then Z resolves his issues and finds closure to his past, and they get the happily ever after they deserve.
I liked it very much, they’re my favorite couple of the BDB series so far!
