Book Tour! Blind Love by Kishan Paul

Blind Love, by Kishan Paul
Romance, novel

She doesn’t need a hero. But a sexy Marine…that’ll work.
Though Lauren Baxter’s world is a blurry mess of colors, she has no tolerance for pity. With the
help of her guide dog, Jack Sparrow, she’s built a good life for herself. She has everything she
wants: her PhD, a thriving counseling practice and her independence.
When she meets her new neighbor, the man’s warm Texas accent and clean male scent weaken
her knees. Her attraction to the former Marine is mutual and, unfortunately, a complication she
doesn’t need.
Gabriel Briggs carries the weight of the world on his shoulders. He has his reasons for indulging
only in short-term flings, but the feisty, green-eyed Lauren makes him want to forget every one.
In a rare moment of fragility, Lauren winds up in Gabe’s arms. One night together can’t break
their self-imposed rules, right? But when a woman from Gabe’s past is murdered, the reasons he
should have stayed away become painfully clear, threatening innocent lives he may not be able
to save—especially Lauren’s.

Product Warnings
Contains a blind therapist who doesn’t consider herself impaired; a meddling, erotic-novel-
writing best friend; a hot ex-Marine with a shady past; and a loyal guide dog that howls “I love
you” and is probably the sanest one of the bunch.

EXCERPT!
The banging and Jack’s barking grew louder. Lauren ran her hands through her hair and
made her way down the stairs with Sunny close behind.
At the door, her best friend leaned over her and peeked through the blinds.
“Oh Sweet Baby Jesus, who’s that?” she whispered.
Lauren pushed her away and blocked the entrance with her body. “If I could see, I’d tell
you.”
“It’s a man. Open the door,” she ordered and tried to pull Lauren’s hand from the knob.
“No! We don’t know who he is,” she hissed.
“Lauren, it’s Gabe.” The way her name sounded in the baritone voice of his had her
stomach doing the funny flipping thing again like it did yesterday in the backyard.
“Yes, Lauren, it’s Gabe,” Sunny imitated. “Now open the fucking door.”
“Hi, Gabe. Everything okay?” she asked, her voice huskier than she’d like.
“I heard screams. I tried calling a couple times and when you didn’t answer, thought I’d
come over and check things out.”
“The neighbor with the power tools?” Sunny hissed. “The man is eye candy beautiful.”
“That doesn’t mean he’s not a rapist or serial killer,” Lauren hissed back.
Boney arms wrapped tight around her waist, lifting off the ground and planting her a few
feet away from the entrance. Disoriented, Lauren was still figuring out which direction she was
facing when the door rattled and opened.
“Hey,” Sunny said in her most seductive tone. After rolling her eyes, Lauren walked
toward her friend’s voice.
“Hi,” Gabe cleared his throat. “I’m sorry, I was looking for Lauren.”
“I’m right here.”
“Sorry to bother you two. Like I said, I heard screaming…”
“So sorry; we were having a disagreement,” she answered before Sunny got a chance to
give her interpretation of events.
“I’m Sunny.” Her voice sounded deep and breathy. Lauren cringed and resisted the urge
to hit her.
“Hi, Sunny, I’m Gabe.”
“Nice to meet you, neighbor with the power tools.”
“Anyway, we’re fine. Thanks for checking.” Lauren reached over to shut the door but
Sunny wouldn’t let it go.
“How sweet. Did you hear, Cat? He came here to see if you needed to be saved.” Since
when did she start speaking with a Southern accent?
“I don’t need to be saved,” she muttered.
“That’s all relative now isn’t it, sweetheart? Why don’t you come in, Gabe? I just made
some fresh coffee.”
“I’d love some. But if you don’t mind, let me go put some clothes on and I’ll be right
back.”
A few seconds after he disappeared, Sunny blew out a breath and closed the door.
“Honey, I do mind if you put on more clothes.”
“What’s wrong with you? You can’t let strangers into my home,” Lauren growled.
“Rule number one: When a man who looks like him walks up in nothing but hard
muscles and a thin pair of boxers, you invite him in. Rule number two: Keep rocking those low-
cut tank tops and short biker shorts, ’cause he couldn’t keep his eyes off you.”
“Oh God,” Lauren pulled up the neck of her tank and rushed upstairs.
“Overweight and missing his front teeth,” Sunny muttered as she followed. “What the
hell is wrong with you?”
Grabbing a pair of jeans and a shirt from the drawer, Lauren pulled them on over her
sleepwear. “Not important. He was pushy and like I said, he’s been watching me.”
“No. Not true. He’s not watching you, he’s lusting after you. Here, let me paint him for
you.”
Sunny had a knack for description. She’d taken on the responsibility of being Lauren’s
eyes when she lost her vision and made it a point to reference people and movies they both
remembered.
“About six feet two, a mouth full of perfect white teeth, and ripped.” A lovely image of
Gabe took shape. “If I didn’t have Scott, I’d have run my fingers down those hills and valleys
right to the elastic band of his sweet black shorts and…”
“No sex fantasies, please, only facts.”
“Okay, fine. A mix of Matt Damon’s face from Goodwill Hunting, but better looking,
and Tom Cruise’s body from Mission Impossible Two when he hung from the cliff, remember?”
Lauren bit her lip and nodded.
“But bulkier and much, much taller. He has this tribal tattoo around his right bicep. It’s a
bunch of shapes, but looks hot. Dark hair buzzed short, strong jaw line, deep blue eyes, full lips
I’m sure are capable of making some lucky woman, more specifically you, scream…”
She shook her head and pushed her sex-addicted friend aside while she made her way
downstairs.

This was an absolutely beautiful story, and I wanted it to never end! Where do I even begin to gush about everything that I loved about it? Yikes. There might be some rambling in this review, I am still overcome with emotions after reading this. I will start with Lauren.

Lauren Baxter started losing her vision when she was in her teens. Now, as an adult, she is mostly blind but most certainly not disabled. Her early years were rough---with what her cheating ex-husband and high school sweetheart put her through---but she came out strong as she strived to prove her over-protective parents, her ex, and society wrong as just what a blind woman can achieve. Lauren is now fiercely independent and is far more successful than she could have ever imagined.
Lauren is the type of heroine you always wished to see more of in romances. Determined, loyal, intelligent, independent. She wants nothing more than to focus on her life and thriving business, all on her own. Though, when her next door neighbor, Gabe, moves in with a big bang which disrupts her appointments with clients over the phone, she falls in a trap full of mixed emotions and is desperate to block them out.
Her hilarious best friend, Sunny, who is also her daytime personal assistant, is eager and excited to hear of this latest attraction and refuses to let Lauren wander away from this opportunity to let a little light and fun in her life again. Lauren is infamous for ultimately pushing away anyone she dates when she feels they are getting too close to her.
Gabe, the enigmatic and handsome Texan, nearly knocks that habit out of the ballpark, though. He appears to be very flirtatious at first but when his POV arrives, we find that he’s been very intrigued about his neighbor upon his arrival in the neighborhood. He finds himself fascinated by her. Despite her blindness, he observes how well-calculated and effortlessly in control of her life she is. And oh wow, does this fascination take a turn after a roundabout of lust they had finally succumbed to. Those scenes, by the way, were SO DAMN HOT!!
Later, we get a little insight of Gabe’s heartbreaking childhood. The discovery of his past made it even easier to appreciate and fall in love with him even more, see how well rounded and strong he came out to be. Lauren feels the same way; she’s just too damn stubborn to admit her feelings for him are deeper than just their late-night rendezvous.
This extremely well-written book includes a spectacular cast of secondary characters as well who often times steal the spotlight. Such as Sunny. Then, we have Lauren’s big beast of a guide dog, Jack Sparrow, who I feel is a huge supporting character. He’s as much of a therapist as his owner is. With his humanlike fondness and interaction with other characters, that pup had a way of healing others emotionally. Lauren’s relationship with him was like that of a son and mother and so very comical!
Also in this category is Ben, the high school sweet heart, ex-husband, and the foundation of Lauren’s animosity towards men. He shows back up in her life unexpectedly just as she and Gabe were beginning to make progress on giving romance another try. Ben quickly became the focus of a lot of my suspicion at one point when the story took a dive for a WILD turn of events. White knuckled, I held on to my Kindle praying that Gabe, Lauren, and other favorite characters would make it through the danger that lurked around the corners. While I had Ben in my crosshairs at first, the police department had their eyes on another target . . . Gabe.

I would like to mention a few other secondary characters as well, but I don’t want to spoil what’s to come when Gabe’s mysterious, private life reveals itself. This was the point of the book that I delved deeper into the story, unable to put the book down whatsoever. I mean, my building could have been burning down and I wouldn’t have even realized it. I was so entranced trying to search for clues and solving what was behind the disaster that was screwing with my two favorite characters!
The end is bitter sweet. While we have our HEA and SO many laughs with witty one-liners and comical scenarios peppered throughout the story, there were also many tear jerkers. Each of those elements together, however, is what placed this book into my top favorite, always to be cherished!
Might I add, “Blind Love” is one hell of a debut novel, and I have most certainly found a new favorite author. Kishan Paul is a contemporary romance mastermind!

Sky's review of "Vice" by Rosanna Leo. 5 big effin' stars!

25409656Vice, by Rosanna Leo
My rating: 5 stars
POV: Dual POV's and in 3rd person

Blurb:
As a Vegas singer and volunteer counselor, Kate Callender has experienced life on both sides of Sin City’s bright lights. The thrill of performing, and gambling’s devastating effect on the addicts’ families.
Liam Doyle is just the kind of man she despises—a handsome, enigmatic businessman with a knack for seducing customers into his casino hotels. Determined to put a lid on his growing influence, she prepares to picket the opening of his newest casino, Vice.
When Liam spots the lone protestor hassling his customers, annoyance wars with instant attraction. And he quickly discovers the leggy redhead not only can’t be bought, she tempts him the way the sound of a roulette wheel lures a gambler.
They are natural enemies, but when a vile attack sparks Liam’s protective instincts, they begin a sexual odyssey that dances on the edge of addiction. Dangerously close to losing control...and losing themselves.

Sky's Review:

Rosanna Leo steals my heart again---as usual---with her second addition to the contemporary romance genre. This book takes you through a series of heartache, thrill, and even through all the scary bits and emotional strain, it still has that humorous charm that made me fall in love with Leo’s books to begin with! (Apart from the drool-worthy shifters that star in her other novels *fans herself*)
The story follows two characters who take turns in their own point-of-views—third person—as they each struggle to fight their demons in the dark underworld of Las Vegas. One who is haunted by childhood memories of a father who has still yet to come to his senses; and the other, a man who has been abandoned in all areas of his life who puts all of his effort into building a life for himself to which he can control.
Both characters plucked at my heartstrings until they were all worn out and bent out of shape. I can’t count all the times I grew teary-eyed as I watched these characters learn to trust again and begin to heal.

It all begins when Vegas singer, Kate Callender---who also volunteers as a counselor at a gamblers anon group---finds herself unemployed and fed up with all the bad crap that happens to herself and her friends at New Horizons. Her first victim for a protest against gambling is the new shiny casino, Vice, owned by the man who they feel is ruining the lives of families with each casino he drops down on the strip.
Kate was certainly on a mission that could not be deterred, not even by the devilishly handsome owner of Vice, himself, Liam Doyle, as he stared menacingly down at her with his husky-blue eyes. Though, later, her mission does comes to an abrupt halt when she’s clued in on the soft side of the man who she once thought to be selfish and unrelenting, seeing through his tough façade. Liam is not the man he portray's himself to be.

After battling between her morals and her need to help others---and hilarious bouts between the two of them---they find each other talking one night and agreed to a pact to hit rock bottom together. I absolutely loved this part; I couldn’t stop smiling for the life of me!

Their pact to hit rock bottom together did not come easily, though . . . *smile slowly fades*

A stormy romance brews between the characters. A relationship that’s fraught with sorrow and an unsettling need to replace words with carnal intimacy is born as Liam refuses to say what’s weighing down on his heart. She implores him relentlessly, to help him as he did for her; but it only makes him shut down even more and burries his pain by losing himself inside her. Finally, Kate decides this unhealthy relationship has lasted much longer than it should have. The passion between them was unlike no other, but already fighting with the realization she needs to live by her words and stop feeding her father’s gambling addiction, she needed to stop being the crutch that she felt she was to Liam’s fear of letting go.

This is where the waterworks began for me. The entire last half of the book had me gripping my Kindle with damp hands, unsure of what was to come of this heart-breaking story. If it’s not too much of a semi-spoiler though, for you HEA fans, you will not be disappointed!  I was deeply moved by the choices the characters make by the end, and so deeply relieved! I won’t say what I want to say about the very ending because it will give it away no matter how hard I try to make it subtle.

I saw Kate as having has a weary soul, she wants to believe in the good of others but her childhood prevents her from being able to trust anyone else but herself.
Liam is one tough cookie, a realtor tycoon, a fierce businessman,  but what no one sees, is his true benevolent nature and the heart-wrenching truth that drives him to be successful

OOO! Another character who almost stole the show in my eyes is Wade, Liam’s trusty security guard and best friend. I adored him so hard! Also, the steamy, wild, sex between Kate and Liam will leave you breathless and weak in the knees---so find a comfortable spot to cozy up with this read! Five HUGE stars for this book. I recommend this to EVERYONE! I felt it was written by the authors heart, and it truly is inspiring, so many words of wisdom for anyone whose lives have been affected by gamblers or of any type of addiction in their family.

Launch Blitz - Isabella's Airman by Sofia Grey!!

Isabella’s Airman (Out of Time #2)

Excerpt

My quiet words hung between us. Inside, I cringed. There was no reason ever to tell the natives why we were there or to hint at future tech. Nothing would corrupt the timelines quicker than a peek at the future, and I felt cold at the secret I almost revealed.
Davy replaced his cup in its saucer, and then reached across the table and touched the back of my hand. My gaze leaped to meet his. “Maybe when I go on leave next time, you might come with me? I could take you to Hadrian’s Wall and to sample my mum’s baking.”
Shame flooded me at the deception I was creating. I couldn’t look at him. I tucked both hands in my lap and stared down at the table. The tea left a bitter taste in my mouth, or maybe that was guilt? This was so unfair.
I didn’t even realize I was trembling until Davy spoke in a low, pained voice. “I’m sorry, Isabella. I didn’t mean to make you feel uncomfortable.”
Looking up, I saw the hurt in his eyes and the way his jaw tightened. “I’m sorry,” I blurted. “I can’t do that.”
His mouth twisted, but he didn’t look away. “I’ve only known you a couple of days, and I know it’s too soon to be making plans, so don’t say no. Not yet.” He hesitated. I wondered if he could hear how loud my heart was pounding. “Let’s just take it as it comes. One day at a time.” His lips curved in a ghost of a smile. “Can we do that?”
I longed to say yes. This was supposed to be a fact-finding exercise and a step toward an excellent grade for the field trip. Over a pot of tea in a bustling café, it had grown into something I didn’t recognize.
“Isabella?” His voice was soft, coaxing me to speak. I remembered when he said my name that first night. The gentle lilt, the way it rolled off his tongue like an endearment. I swallowed. I was in way over my head already.
Still he watched me. Tension vibrated in the air. I couldn’t say yes, but it would kill me to say no. The paper I’d written was meaningless. Their chances of survival—this man’s chance—was dependent on more than proximity to home. He wanted someone to come back to.
There was a lump in my throat the size of a rock. “One day at a time.”
His smile was real this time. “That’s all right, then.” He slid the plate of forgotten carrot cake toward me. “We start with cake.”

Loving this smexy cover! -Sky

Author bio:

Romance author Sofia Grey spends her days managing projects in the corporate world and her nights hanging out with wolf shifters and alpha males. She devours pretty much anything in the fiction line, but she prefers her romances to be hot, and her heroes to have hidden depths. When writing, she enjoys peeling back the layers to expose her characters’ flaws and always makes them work hard for their happy endings.

Review for Isabella's Airman.
This is the second installment in Sofia Grey’s series called, Out of Time. While it is set in the point of view of a new character, the cousin of Marc who was the hero of the first book, we do have a small insight from his POV that has made me very concerned about what happened after he had returned back to his modern day—sounds like there was trouble in paradise between him and Lila, oh no! Though, I will get to that later in the review.
Here, we have first-time jumper and student, Isabella Gillman, and she inadvertently received a lesson that was far beyond what was expected of her . . . Love.  Her first travel assignment was the perilous days of World War II, set in Suffolk, England, May 1941—five-hundred years back from her modern day.
Her case in study is the Royal Air Force Midenhall to document unfinished records for that particular point of base’s history.
In the first chapter we find just how different Bella’s modern day is than ours as she takes in the sights—she’s never been kissed and has never even seen anyone display any sort of sensual fondness towards one another! Back home, intimacy is a rare happening and if anyone had any sort of feeling for each other, their relationship had to be approved by the Council.
Then here comes Davy, a pilot along with another man named Teddy that Bella and her best friend Juliet happen to partner up with. His old-fashioned chivalrous ways swept Isabella off her feet., piquing her interest for a moment of passion with him, despite the   looming death of his she knew was on his way, but she couldn’t tell him any of that.
Later on, there are a series of twists and pleasant surprises and most definitely a HEA, but I will leave that to you to discover!
I absolutely love the spark that Grey has teased us with between Marc and Juliet, and I am hoping they will be the center of our affection for this beautiful, time-swept series!

Sky's Review of, Paranormally Yours, A Paranormal Collection of Short Stories

Paranormally Yours by Anita Cox, Ann Gimpel, Christy Gissendaner, Diane Saxon, Loralie Hall, Sofia Grey, and Sotia Lazu (Anthology

This is definitely one of my favorite anthology sets this year! This fantastic collection of paranormal romance stories are written by different, talented authors who aim to please us--and they have most certainly hit the target on the bullseye. ;)
Packed with steam, laughs, and heart-pangs, you'll be howling for more!

Thirty-five 5 stars for this package!

Story #1: Red Dawn, by Ann Gimpel
What's in this story? Multi-Partner, shifter, dark fairy tales!!

Blurb:Llyr is a whale shifter with a big problem. The seas are dying, poisoned by heavy metal contamination and barrels of trash. In a bold and desperate move, he and his mate Galatea, the Sea Witch, hatch up magic to allow him to spend as long as he needs to on Earth.
Masquerading as a marine biologist, Llyr signs on with a firm whose mission is to save the oceans. When his boss turns out to have malevolent underpinnings, Llyr returns to the sea for answers. With death lurking behind every corner, he and Galatea find themselves boxed into an impossible situation.

Sky's Thoughts:
I love a great steamy book with plenty of action and suspense, and this book fulfilled my fix for a thrilling, sexy story, plus some! It had a completely unique world that had me enthralled from the very first paragraph to the very last sentence. Whale shifters! I've never read anything like it and I am craving more from this world, can't wait to see if this fun story will continue.  Ann has an astounding imagination and I was thankful to experience it through this story and can't wait to pick up more of her books--she's made a fan outta me!

Story #2: The Reluctant Gift, by Sotia Lazu
What's inside this story? A Shifter, vampire, anal sex, and biting!

Blurb: Salina has earned her one-year vacation on Earth, damn it! She’s been an exemplary sentinel for her pack, and saved all the universes.
Too bad she hasn’t been very effective at kicking Aherin to the curb. She had one little lapse in judgement—sleeping with the annoyingly persistent vampire—and now he just won’t leave.
As if that wasn’t enough, her holiday plans are spoiled, her world is turned upside down, and she’s going to miss out on a yummy family dinner, all because she’s kidnapped on Christmas Eve.
By Santa.

Sky's Thoughts:
Oh my gawd, this story made my belly hurt, I laughed so much! Santa plays a dirty little cupid in this story! This book is full of characters that are filled with life and witty remarks. The story is intriguing right from the start, Salina is blinded and kidnapped and we're left wondering, "Gah, what's happening!" When the abductor reveals himself, it was NOT what I was expecting--but gawd, did I giggle!!
Not only is this a fun read, it's freaking HOT! When Salina and her annoying yet smexy vampire foe finally drop all pretenses of their hatred for one another, It was absolutely explosive. The sex scenes were so full of spice and heat that I was seriously beginning to wonder if I had fallen into the fireplace beside my sofa—I was flushed!
Sotia, you are brilliant! This is my second read by Sotia Lazu and I may be an ever bigger fan after this!

Story #3: For Heaven’s Cakes, by Diane Saxon
What's inside this story? A wolf shifter!

Blurb: Twelve years of living in Ireland smoothed Beau’s rough edges, and hard work as a construction worker made him a wealthy man. The call of his pack is stronger than he can resist though, and he isn’t averse to returning to show his small home town in America what he’s made of himself.
What he doesn’t anticipate is meeting the local pharmacist’s daughter - in his wolf form. By day, he renovates the pharmacy, and tries to cajole the lush assistant into having dinner with him. By night he watches Catherine bake her fantastic creations and blossom through her art.
Sleeping on her bed each night in his wolf form isn’t exactly ideal, but how does he tell her the wolf she’s come to love, is the man she lusts over?

Sky's Thoughts:
What a pleasant read! There is definitely a taste of romance suspense in this story--the anticipation of them falling in love completely gave me butterflies. Also, building up to seeing Beau finally admitting to Catharine that little "dog" she grew to love after taking in was him all along, had me on the edge of my seat! She surprises me when the truth reveals, and he is not the one that breaks it to her. This was also my first read by Diane Saxon and I am so ready to take on more of her thrilling and sexy books!

Story #4: Pursuing Grace, by Anita Cox
What's inside this story? Werewolves!

BlurbThough Grace McGovern just graduated college, she’s restless, has no idea what to do with her life and to top it off, she finds herself single and unsatisfied with relationships in general.
Roman intends to claim Grace and make her his mate and part of his pack. He’s searched for her for five years and now she’s within his longing grasp, apart from one minor problem. She has no idea she’s a wolf.
As Grace tries to identify and cope with her inner wolf, she also needs to figure out the unprecedented and undeniable pull Roman has on her. Could he finally offer her the fulfilling relationship for which she’s been yearning?

Sky's Thoughts:
The plot here kept me interested through and through--I'd love more from this world! Not only is Grace in the dark of her own plans after college, but there's something much bigger she's unknowing of--life is about to get much more complicated than she had originally thought. Roman is effing hot, and I am so damn jealous he's not preying on me for his lucky mate LOL! A heart-filled story here, and the suspense built more and more intense each chapter as I was hoping she'd make the decision to stay with the pack. I was not let down! Anita Cox has a brand new fan outta me!

Story #4: Dreaming of a Wolf, by Sofia Grey
What's inside this story? An amazing Sofia Grey wolf shifter and dream-sequences!

Blurb: Alun was Olivia's first, and he was supposed to be her forever. After a tragic accident steals him away, Olivia wonders how she can ever be whole again.
When he starts talking to her in her dreams, she has to ask herself: is she going mad with grief, or is there still a chance for their forever?

Sky's Thoughts:
Sofia's writing is as beautiful as ever! Olivia is on a quest to find Alun, who she feels is still alive after a sequence of dreams where he came to visit her. She's pretty much acting on a whim because for all she knows, they were only silly dreams; but she felt as though their conversations together felt way too tangible and heart-filled for them to be simply dreams. If anything, going to his favorite places was a way of coping with his sudden loss of life. Olivia may gets way more information than she originally sought out for on her hunt, though.

Story #5: Courting Mortality, by Loralie Hall
What's inside this story? Gods!

Blurb: Eli’s spent eternity thwarting the same family curse that granted his brother, Loki, ever-lasting fame. Eli kind of got screwed in that one. His plan to stay single and detached has worked for several millennia. And then he meets Marley. She's making him abandon all his resolutions, except the one that never lets him forget the curse. Falling for her means her death, and he won’t let that happen.

Sky's Thoughts
Such a sweet story, and most definitely spicy! Loki is at again with his diabolical ways, yet we still love him! Eli is the hero here though, and I think he's won my heart over more than Loki ever could! He struggles so hard to not fall in love with Marley, for her own safety from the curse and that forsaken Loki. But love really does trump all, and he proves if your heart needs someone so badly, you can make anything work. Poor Marley had no idea what she was getting herself into and though it took her a while to come to terms with just who Eli is, she finds that it is all worth it in the end. I loved this story! I am a new, big fan of Loralie Hall!

Story #6: Uncaged, by Christy Gissendaner
What's inside this story? Vampires and other creatures!

Blurb: Mixed breed vampire shifter, Gabe Moncrief, has made a name for himself in the Cage, an arena where only the strong survive. He's training for the fight of his life--and vengeance--when Rain Pettis appears. As an Elemental - a supernatural being descended from Zeus himself - she holds the key to his future in the Cage.
As much as she loves her brothers, Rain needs to break away from their overwhelming influence to become her own person. Gabe is the only shifter capable of standing up to them. But when Rain learns a secret that tests her loyalty to her family, she has a decision to make. Does she risk it all for love? And can she bear watching Gabe endanger his life within the Cage?

Sky's Thoughts:
This was a beautifully drawn world, and I absolutely love how everyone’s name derives from different elements. This story contains a brilliant, and very independent female heroine who can be easily loved by readers. Her strife for freedom is relentless and I absolutely fell in love with Gabe, the sexy vampire who wins her heart despite her reasons to stay away from him. Another story I wish could go on forever!! This was my first Christy Gissendaner story and will most certainly not be my last—big fan now!

Sky's Review: Impostor's Kiss by Renea Mason

Impostor's Kiss, by Renea Mason (Book .5 of the "Symphony of Light" series)

Blurb: One night of sexual pleasure could teach a lesson in love.

Cyril is weary from weeks of traveling the Scottish moors, but his luck takes a turn when he rescues a battered and broken child. To express his gratitude, the boy’s father offers Cyril a night of carnal indulgence with his eldest daughter. Cyril graciously accepts, looking forward to a night of sexual release to ease the loneliness of his travels.

But what the supernatural sex god and deliverer of souls doesn’t expect is to be taught a lesson in love from the young and beautiful Celestine.

In a night of passion, two lost spirits find solace in an impostor’s kiss: one longing for a love that doesn’t yet exist, the other drowning in pain and guilt over love lost. Neither is what they seem…but what they learn will change them forever…

Sky's Thoughts: Cyril is one hell of an alpha male in this story; heroic, sexy, but oh so sentimental—it just melts my heart. Cyril is a man of many talents—some supernatural—and was created in the eyes of his goddess for sexual perfection; and if I say so myself, I would have to say she did a job well done.
While on a long journey one day, Cyril and his men stumbled upon a child who needed rescue. On returning the boy to his father to their popular tavern, Cyril was offered a night of passion with his daughter in exchange for his heroic deed. However, no matter how much his body craves the attention from a beautiful woman, there’s just one issue that may hinder his ability to take on this delicious offer.
For the last three-hundred years—the last time he had been reincarnated-- Cyril has feared losing the image of a woman he believes is the love of his existence. Her face haunts his dreams, she’s in everything he sees, every woman he meets and he is positive they will once again be reunited. Until then, he cannot love anyone else, he won’t allow it.
When Cyril is finally introduced to the daughter, Celestine, he makes a decision that had my heart falling right into his lap. This is where I will leave you, the reader, to see what happens next—it is so much more heart-filling when reading. Will his weakness deepen their heartaches, or will their hearts come together to give each other strength in a time of mourning?
