Desperate to escape agonizing memories of Christmas past, twenty-nine-year-old widow Megan Snow builds a snow family outside the mountain cabin she once shared with her husband, realizing too late that she’s recreated the very thing she’ll never have.
Called to life by Megan’s tears, snow god Owen Winters appears unconscious on her doorstep in the midst of a raging blizzard. As she nurses him to health, Owen finds unexpected solace in her company and unimagined pleasure in the warmth of her body, and vows to win her heart for a chance at humanity.
Megan is drawn to Owen’s mismatched eyes, otherworldly masculinity, and enthusiasm for the littlest things. But this Christmas miracle comes with an expiration—before the snow melts and the temperature rises, Megan must let go of her widow’s grief and learn to trust love again, or she’ll lose Owen forever.
This was a very enchanting book about a
grieving widow, alone at Christmastime, isolated up in what sounded
like a beautiful cabin from the author's description. Megan Snow was
dealing with spending the holidays by herself, since she really
doesn't know how to be with her family on the anniversary of her
husbands death just yet.
She built a snowman family out in the
front yard, completing the snow-husbands ensemble with different
colored buttons for eyes, and as she finished, she broke down from
her emotions of thinking she'll never be happy again and wept. Little
did she know though that there was a higher force at play and her
tears were about to reawaken not only her lonely heart, but the heart
of a God.
This book, was just pure awesome. I
thoroughly loved the idea of a man coming to life from the elements
of snow. He couldn't get too hot from being inside the heated cabin,
loved ice cream, and definitely could NOT take a hot shower, ha! Owen
Winters absolutely melted my heart in this story! This was the
perfect book to read right before Christmas :) Plenty of steamy smexy
scenes, great plot, and loved the characters! Five stars.
