Krystle's Review
Story starts out with Lisa Adams being offered the job of a lifetime at a very high-end PR firm. Elite PR & Marketing. Although when she signed the dotted line at the bottom of her contract, she had no idea she'd be signing her soul away to one of the most lethal and seductive demons of the underworld.
Then we fast-forward 5 years to where
Lisa has worked her way up the corporate ladder. She's beautiful, has
a great home, and the perfect job. Just not the perfect love life,
and this is where the plot thickens. Her boss, Samuel, starts making
advances on her, makes her feel sexy and desirable, but at the same
time, she doesn't want to go down this route for fear of jeopardizing
her career. Also poor Lisa starts to think that she's somehow gone
bat-shit crazy with the hallucinations she begins to have. Hooded men
with eyes that glow red, faucets that empty out pools of blood
instead of clear water.
Just Samuel, her boss, biding his time
– messing with Lisa as he waits to take what's rightfully his, but
then walks Alex into Lisa's life.
And Alex is a man that I believe all
women want to have walk into their life. I adored his character, he's
sweet, the perfect gentleman, and sexy. He's the positive that will
void all of the negative right out of Lisa's life, AKA – Lisa's
Guardian Angel, who's been in love with her since birth, but once she
signed her soul away, he chose to join the human realm to protect
her. To do whatever it takes to ensure she won't be taken away from
him. I just felt so sorry for him every time he and Lisa would kiss,
since with him being an Angel, his lips would burn from her touch,
but then I was super glad the moment that changed! Ha-ha!
I enjoyed this story very much, the
author had a lot of nice details and explained everything perfectly.
I look forward to reading the second book (and more) in the series!!
If you like stories with Angels/ Fallen Angels, you'll love it!
I especially loved the size she
depicted Lucifer to be, that would be a sight to see for sure!

There are a lot of quotes / one-liners
that I loved and chuckled from in this book! Here are a few.
Laid back is what
Lisa enjoys, and laid back is exactly what Alex is...all wrapped up
in a bow of sexy.
Yes, yes Alex is all wrapped up in a nice big shiny red bow of sexy!
LOL
She wants to kiss him, she wants to embrace him, she wants her
breathing to become difficult, she wants her heart to race out of
control. – Looooooove that!
Looking at her, he sees the woman he's fallen in love with, the
woman he fell from Heaven for, the woman he went to Hell to save.
– Alex thinking about Lisa, swoooon!
-Excerpt from Fallen-
Taking the steps down to the mailroom, Lisa notices the
place is empty. Sighing, she reaches into her purse, moving her hand around
until she finds the familiar ball on her key ring. She recalls telling her
mother as a child, “Why do you carry such large purses?” Lisa shakes her head,
realizing in some ways, she has become her mother. Pulling her keys out, she
thumbs through them until she finds her mailbox key. Slipping it into her
mailbox, she turns the key, opening the mail door.
Flipping through her bills and the junk mail, she hears
footsteps coming down the stairs. Looking up, the most beautiful man she’s ever
seen walks into the mail room. Her lips part as sensuous sky blue eyes;
radiating like pure diamond as they pierce her mind. His hair is blond, and
short but messy. His firmly built body reminds Lisa of a knight waiting to
rescue his lady. His cheeks are chiseled like a finely-carved Michelangelo
statue. His nose is perfectly symmetrical. His lips are slightly full, the kind
that end in a cute little smirk at the corners. His eyes meet hers. For a moment
she forgets to breathe. His lips pull into a smile and he nods to her.
Realizing she’s staring, Lisa quickly looks away from
him. When he turns towards his mailbox, she looks over at him and her eyes move
down his body. She looks away to make herself look occupied. Fumbling with the
mail in her hands, she looks over long enough to catch his gaze again. Her
breath catches and she stands there staring. He smiles at her as he waves.
As if something slapped the back of her head, she snaps
out of it. Looking away, she feels the blood rush to her face and she closes her
mailbox door so hard that it bounces against the wall a few times before it
finally closes. Locking it, she shoves the mail in her purse. Shoving her keys
inside, she turns towards the stairs. Keeping her eyes cast down, she begins to
walk away and glances over to the beautiful man in the room. He looks up at her.
Their eyes meet. She smiles back at him coyly then lowers her gaze. She takes
the first step on the stairs and trips. Cursing herself for being such a klutz,
she feels every ounce of blood in her body make a race for her face.
“I don’t know about you, but I hate it when the floor
reaches up and snaps at my foot.” His voice is dark with a hint of sex appeal.
His voice is alluring, yet she finds him friendly. She can't help but feel a
piece of herself melt. Lisa grips the railing to balance herself as his voice
floods through her body. Looking back over her shoulder at him she nods her head
a few times.
“I totally meant to do that,” she retorts.
“Then I give you 10 points for the safe landing.” He
smiles as their eyes meet again. Her knees turn weak and she grips the railing
tighter. “I’m Alex Carter. I just moved in last week.” He extends his hand to
her to shake. She slips her hand into his and her fingers wrap around his hand.
His hands are large with long fingers. His nails are clean and manicured. She
notices he doesn't wear a wedding band. His shake is firm, but he doesn’t grip
her hand too hard. Thoughts of his hands on her body cross her mind as she
smiles up at him. Looking into his eyes she finds herself unable to speak.
Blinking a few times she finally pulls herself back.
“I’m Lisa. I live here. Obviously. I just got my mail.”
She continues to shake his hand as she stares into his eyes. Catching herself,
she stops and reluctantly pulls her hand away. Shifting
her weight on her feet, she glances down; her eyes
looking at his shoes. Her eyes gradually move up his long legs. His waist is
solid and she imagines the six pack abs underneath his shirt.
Blinking she moves her eyes up to his broad chest. She
imagines him on a beach without a shirt while speckles of sand have latch onto
his bare chest after he rolls around in the sand with her. Her gaze finally
lands on his eyes. Realizing she's just openly checked him out, she watches him
raise a single brow. He chuckles as his smile grows. Lisa’s face glows a bright
shade of pink.
“Right,” he smiles up to her on the steps. He glances up
the steps then back to her. He grins, “Shall we?”
“Oh right! Of course,” wanting to mentally kick herself
for gawking at him openly like that, she turns and walks up the steps; allowing
her ass to sway just a little more than normal. Hearing him clear his throat,
she smiles. “Where did you move from, Alex? Have you been in Manhattan long?”
Glancing back at him, his eyes look up to hers. His eyes are the kind that you
can look into and get lost; the kind you can relate to that are truly windows to
the soul.
